In March 2019, I took a huge chance and started the process of opening a Female Co-working and Creative Event Space called HappyHer House. The official opening date was June 3, 2019. It was a beautiful space in East Long Beach, designed to be a launch pad for female entrepren-hers like me. I created a beautiful, safe space for like-minded creatives to thrive. The goal was for women to connect, collaborate, and create missions of impact, passion projects, and new businesses with the resources and support of a space that felt like home, yet was free from distractions.

HappyHer House was indeed a "happy place." I poured all my love and soul into it, and it showed. Everyone who stepped inside spoke of the undeniable positive energy that filled the space upon entry. The space was membership-based and offered private rentals for micro events and workshops. By December 2019, business was taking off, members were joining, and women and men who loved and supported the mission booked the space for private events.

Everything was going great, and then, in mid-March 2020, everything changed. We all know how the COVID-19 pandemic came and changed many of our lives. My new business was hit hard and had to close its doors to members and events. For months, I tried several creative ways to turn lemons into lemonade to keep the business afloat. I was determined to win, so I held on to the space for several months and eventually decided to close the doors to the brick-and-mortar location, but not the vision.  

After regrouping and refocusing, I rebranded the business as HappyHer Events & Entertainment Co., offering comprehensive event planning and management services, event design, equipment rentals, and photo booth rentals, as well as signature events, virtual workshops, and wellness retreats.
